Removing a Small Hard Corn in One Piece
A small, concentrated hard corn sits beneath the forefoot as a pale circular plug within the surrounding skin. Rather than reducing it in many thin layers, the hardened piece is separated from its edge and removed intact.
Freeing the Edge
The foot is held steady while the scalpel follows the border of the corn. The blade stays shallow and moves around the circumference, gradually loosening the hard plug from the softer tissue beneath it.
Lifting the Corn Away
Once the edge is free, the compact piece can be lifted away in one piece. The remaining area is then checked and lightly tidied, leaving a small, flatter circular mark where the corn had been.
