The case for a better boot

You take care of your body everywhere else. Why stop for 12 hours a day?

Great work boots exist. Ergonx just took the same care you put into your runners and applied it to the boot you're in longest.

Worker wearing comfortable Ergonx work boots during a long shift
01

The biggest part of your day

An hour at the gym is 6% of your day. Work is closer to 60%. Whichever shoe you're in longer is the one that matters most.

02

Small comfort compounds

Grams saved and give underfoot — 240 shifts a year, for a decade. Little differences turn into big ones.

03

Home starts at knock-off

What you've got left at 5pm is what your evening gets. Better boot, better couch-to-run ratio.

Everywhere else, you upgraded

The runners. The gear. The routine. The last bit of kit is usually the most overlooked.

How Ergonx works

Built like the gear you already trust.

01

Cushioned like a good runner

Triple-density midsole. Real give underfoot from the first step to the last — the same feel you'd want from a proper trainer.

02

1.4kg per pair — seriously light

Every gram you don't lift is one you'll have later. The lightest AS 2210.3 boot in Australia, without cutting corners on protection.

03

Support where it counts

Anatomical toe box. Real arch support. Heel lockdown. The fundamentals you'd expect from a good training shoe — in a steel-cap standard.

The reason this isn't another boot

Designed by a working Australian podiatrist who watched too many tradies retire ten years too early.

Kent Elliot has spent two decades treating plantar fasciitis in his Brisbane clinic. Ergonx is the boot he wished he could write a script for. It's why our boot looks like a Safety Shoe but treats your foot like a clinic.

"Still had legs to run after work"

Old boots were solid — did the job. But by Thursday my evening runs were cooked. First week in Ergonx I actually did the Thursday session. Small change, big difference.

"Kids didn't have to wait for me"

Two under 6. Used to hit the couch the second I got home. Different boot, different evening. Nothing else changed. That's on the boots.

"Last piece of kit I hadn't looked at"

Nice home gym. Good runners. Recovery routine dialled. Then the boot I was in 10 hours a day was the cheapest thing I owned. Fixed that.

Common questions

The questions you came here to ask.

I'm happy in my current boots. Why try Ergonx?

Fair question. Great work boots exist and they do their job. Ergonx was built for one thing — what you've got left at the end of the day. If your evenings, weekends and training matter, that's the delta worth 30 days. If they don't feel different, send them back.

How heavy compared to my current boots?

At 1.4kg per pair, the Helium is among the lightest AS 2210.3-approved boots in Australia. Most traditional safety boots sit between 1.8–2.2kg per pair — up to 200g lighter per foot, lifted 15,000+ times a day.

Will they hold up on a construction site?

Yes. Every Ergonx boot is AS 2210.3:2019 certified — composite toe, antistatic, fuel and oil resistant outsole. Approved for construction, mining, civil and warehousing. Same standard as the boots you already wear.

Do they take a custom orthotic?

Yes. The included Ultra Soft insole comes out. The footbed is deep enough for a full-length custom orthotic — DVA-approved for exactly this reason.

How long does delivery take?

Free Australia-wide delivery — 2–4 business days metro, 4–6 regional. Tracked from our Melbourne warehouse.
