5 ways Helium Black reduces foot strain for plumbers

Support for the hardest parts of a plumbing shift.

Helium Black targets five common sources of plumber foot strain: ladder rungs, long hours, kneeling, dropped tools and repeated stairs.

Helium Black boots supporting a plumber on a ladder01 / Rigid ladder-support shank
Rigid shank — limits midfoot flex and spreads rung pressure
01

Reduce foot strain on ladders.

The rigid embedded shank spreads ladder-rung pressure and limits unwanted bending through the plumber's midfoot.

Helium Black orthotic stability for plumbing work02 / Podiatrist-designed stability
Orthotic support — helps stabilise inward and outward roll
02

Control foot roll through long shifts.

The podiatrist-designed orthotic cups the heel and supports the arch to help stabilise every step across a plumbing job.

Plumber kneeling with Helium Black boots flexing at the toes03 / Natural forefoot flex
Forefoot flex — bends at the toes, not through the arch
03

Flex at the toes when kneeling.

Natural forefoot flex lets the boot bend at the toe joints instead of forcing a plumber's arch to fold while crouching.

Helium Black composite toe protection on a plumbing site04 / 200J composite safety toe
Composite toe — 200J protection without a steel cap
04

Protect toes from dropped tools.

The AS/NZS-tested 200-joule composite cap protects against falling tools without the weight of a traditional steel cap.

Plumber walking upstairs in lightweight Helium Black boots05 / Lightweight 885g build
Lightweight build — less boot to lift all shift
05

Carry less weight up every stair.

At 885g average, Helium Black gives plumbers less boot to lift through repeated steps, stairs and ladder climbs.

How does the rigid shank help on ladders?

It resists folding through the middle of the foot, helping spread pressure from narrow ladder rungs while the forefoot remains free to flex.

Does it grip on wet tiles?

The outsole is SRA tested for slip resistance on ceramic tile with a soapy solution and is also antistatic and fuel-oil resistant.

Does it flex while kneeling?

Yes. Helium Black flexes across the forefoot at the toe joints while its rigid shank controls unwanted bending through the midfoot.

Is it available for wide feet?

Choose a 2E wide fit or a 4E extra-wide fit with approximately 3mm more room through the forefoot.

Supportive footwear may help reduce workload on the feet, but it does not diagnose or treat pain. Persistent symptoms should be assessed individually.

01 · LADDER SHANK SUPPORT

Less arch strain on ladder rungs.

A rigid shank spreads rung pressure through the strong midfoot instead of letting the boot fold under your arch.

02 · ORTHOTIC ALIGNMENT

Control foot roll through long shifts.

Podiatrist-designed arch support helps limit excess rolling in or out as hours and steps add up.

03 · FOREFOOT FLEX

Flex where your toes need it.

The boot bends at the forefoot while kneeling so pressure is not forced through the arch or middle of the foot.

04 · COMPOSITE SAFETY TOE

Protect toes without steel-toe weight.

A 200J composite toe guards against dropped tools and fittings while keeping the boot lighter.

05 · LIGHTWEIGHT + SRA GRIP

Carry less weight with dependable grip.

An 885g average boot and SRA slip-resistant outsole reduce effort across stairs, wet tile and site movement.
